On Monday, July 25, 1988, Deputy Clark Henry was working normal patrol duties in the 800 block of Aldine Bender, when for an unknown reason he disregarded a red light at the Hardy Street intersection and collided with another car. Deputy Henry died as a result of a broken neck. Deputy Henry was 64 years old at the time of his death and the 20th deputy to die in the line of duty.

I was doing a project for my school Forensic class and I had to pull up a precinct so of course I looked up Harry county sheriff and you know the first face I saw? I saw you grandpa. I yearn for not getting to know you but I live with pride everyday knowing that my grandfather was you. A great man and husband and a outstanding officer of the law.
