On Friday night, August 28, 2015, at approximately 8:20 P. M., Harris County Sheriff’s Office Senior Deputy Sheriff, Darren H. Goforth was shot and killed by ambush while in the line of duty as he was pumping gas into his patrol car at a commercial gas station at the intersection of West and Telge Roads in Cypress, Texas.

Tributes
Title: Thinking of ya bro
I was sitting here in my living room playing with my daughter and it reminded me that night you were taken from us. That night I was actually off due to training at the academy and I was home playing with my new daughter. Just wanted to say I was thinking of you and actually think about your family quiet often.
