Persons sentenced to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) in Harris County are processed through the Harris County Sheriff’s Office “TDCJ” Section.

Sentenced persons are transferred upon notification by the TDCJ. The HCSO’s “TDCJ” Section also tracks persons in custody of the Harris County Sheriff's Office for parole violations.
