Emergency Dispatch Center

The Harris County Sheriff's Office Emergency Dispatch Center (EDC) receives emergency and non-emergency calls from callers located in unincorporated areas of Harris County. The call center receives over one million emergency calls each year, along with over 400,000 non-emergency calls. The call center provides dispatch functions for HCSO Patrol Units and coordinates emergency operations within the Harris County Sheriff's Office and with outside first responder agencies.

The Emergency Dispatch Center also includes the Sheriff's Office Audio Records Division, the Protective Order & TCIC/NCIC Validations Unit, the HCSO TeleDeputy Program, the Desk Con Program, and the Dispatch Center Training Unit.
